About The RoleWe’re looking for a meticulous and process-driven Accounts Receivable Associate to own the day-to-day accuracy of our receivables ledger across our property portfolio. You’ll be the connective tissue between property management and finance, making sure every charge is billed correctly, every payment is applied on time, and every ledger closes clean. This role is central to reliable cash flow reporting and audit-ready books.
What You’ll DoGenerate Invoices: Prepare and issue timely, accurate tenant and vendor invoices, including recurring charges, CAM reconciliations, and one-off billingsApply Payments: Post and apply incoming payments across multiple properties, ensuring correct allocation and same-day reconciliationMaintain Ledgers: Manage tenant and property ledgers, resolving posting errors and charge discrepancies before they ageReconcile Accounts: Perform regular AR reconciliations against the general ledger and flag variances to accounting leadershipGenerate Reports: Prepare aging schedules, AR summaries, and supporting schedules for leadership and lendersSupport Financial Analysis: Review and audit key financial documents and projections to drive underwriting for new acquisitions and mortgage financial analysisRespond to Inquiries: Field tenant and internal billing questions promptly and professionally, escalating collections issues as neededCollaborate Across Teams: Partner with property managers and the collections team to keep tenant accounts and financial reporting aligned
What We Look For1+ years xzbcwsv of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or accounting, ideally within property management or real estateBachelor's degreeFamiliarity with industry software such as MRI is a plusStrong Excel skills, including comfort reconciling large ledgersProven ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling financial dataStrong written and verbal communication skillsWorking knowledge of lease terms and CAM/expense recovery billing is a plus
