An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions. They must be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is important.Responsibilities:Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipmentPrepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)Prepare, portion, cook food items for various meal periods or special eventsAbility to follow basic recipes and production informationEnsure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are servedKeep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchenEnsure all food and other items are stored properlyFollow all company HACCP and safety policiesSkills and Qualifications:Proven experience as cookKnowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipmentAbility to follow all sanitation proceduresAbility to work in a team environmentVery good communication skillsWe are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all qualified individuals.Physical requirements of the job:Continuous standing/walking and other means of mobility up to 8 hours a dayAbility to reach, bend, stoop, push/pull and frequently lift/move up to 30 pounds
