About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in property accounting, financial management, and service charge reconciliations. Hands-on experience with Yardi Voyager is a strong advantage, as this role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, generating reports, and managing end-to-end property financials.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Property Accounting & Lease Administration
• Oversee day-to-day property accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
• Partner with the lease administration team to ensure precise recording of lease terms, tenant billing, and financial updates.
• Preparation of property-related VAT returns.

Financial Reporting & Analytics

• Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for managed properties.
• Reconcile accounts, identify discrepancies, and perform variance analysis against budgets.
• Deliver clear commentary and explanations on financial performance to clients.
• Generate customized financial reports using standard software tools to support decision-making.

Budgeting & Service Charge Management

• Updating budgets for service charge and Rent Demand.
• Prepare regular service charge reports for property managers.
• Execute annual service charge reconciliations across all tenant accounts at year-end.

Yardi System Management (Preferred)

• Utilize Yardi modules to manage core financial transactions, service charge configurations, and budget setups.
• Run standard Yardi reports to verify data accuracy and operational completeness.

Compliance & Collaboration

• Ensure adherence to standard accounting principles, regulatory policies, and company guidelines.
• Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits and gather required documentation.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Experience: 3+ years of professional accounting experience, ideally within real estate or property management.
• Software: Proficiency in real estate accounting platforms; Yardi experience is a strong plus.
• Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong analytical capability, and clear written/verbal communication skills.
