About the Role

Managing Balance Sheet Ledger Control, Monthly Books Closing, Legal Entity Controlling, Overall Chart of accounts and system data flow control, Financial Reporting, Statutory Audit Closure, Related Party transactions disclosure and Governance.

Responsibilities

• Balance Sheet Control: Responsible for timely and accurate monthly general ledger closure including ensuring that all required month end accruals/ entries are included. GL Balance monitoring and variance analysis on monthly basis.
• Accounting: Help maintain the GL chart of accounts and hierarchy. Help maintain the bank level accounting manual/ schema and conduct periodic review of the same. Supporting products and business regarding clarification on accounting entries.
• Financial reporting: Preparation of the Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Statement, Cash Flows and disclosures required under Companies Act, Accounting Standards, SEBI/ RBI and other regulatory requirements. Preparation of consolidated financial statements. Manage the overall related party transactions policy and reporting.
• Audit completion: Engage with statutory, internal and concurrent auditors to ensure completion of reporting and controls related audits.
• Overall governance: Ensuring required Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and checklists are in place and adhered to.

Qualifications

• CA (Chartered Accountant)
• 7 - 15 years of related experience

Required Skills

• Must have good knowledge of Banking business and products
• Knowledge of general ledger control in Oracle or SAP
• Financial reporting and statutory audit closure experience
• Overall financial reporting, governance
• Knowledge of RBI regulatory guidelines with respect to income recognition and financial disclosures
• Team person with very good communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders
