Job description

Role Optometrist

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests
• Diagnose refractive errors
• Prescribe spectacles and contact lenses
• Conduct diagnostic tests (Auto Refraction, Keratometry, Tonometry, etc.)
• Assist ophthalmologists in clinical procedures when required
• Provide pre- and post-operative counseling for patients
• Maintain accurate patient records and reports
• Guide patients on eye care, lens usage, and hygiene

Required Skills

• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
• Good communication and patient handling ability
• Knowledge of optical instruments and procedures
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic computer knowledge

Eligibility Criteria

• D.Optom / B.Sc Optometry / M.Optom
• 1-6 years of relevant experience
• Freshers with strong internship experience may also apply
