- Prepare and submit permit applications to local jurisdictions for solar, electrical, and structural approvals.
- Monitor permit status and follow up proactively to ensure timely approvals.
- Communicate with city/county offices to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and track changing codes or
- Maintain accurate records and databases of permitting statuses and jurisdictional requirements.
- Troubleshoot rejected or delayed permits and escalate issues when needed.
- Track timelines and provide regular updates to project management and operations teams.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national codes and regulations.
- Build and maintain relationships with permitting authorities and inspection offices.
- Assist with special permitting projects (e.g., Title 24, AHJ research, policy changes).
- 1+ year of experience in permitting, solar, construction, utilities, or a related administrative field.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.• Ability to handle high volumes of documentation with accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and/or CRM tools.
- Knowledge of solar installation processes and permitting requirements.
- Experience with AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) in multiple regions.
- Familiarity with utility interconnection processes and solar design software.
- Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
