About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development of a large-scale, cloud-native Dynamic Service Options (DSO) Platform. The role involves building reactive microservices, event-driven workflows, and scalable APIs using modern Java, Spring Boot Web Flux, Postgre SQL, and AWS technologies.
You will work on mission-critical systems responsible for high-volume data ingestion, dataset generation, entitlement management, and API delivery while ensuring performance, reliability, security, and observability across distributed cloud applications.
Key Responsibilities
Backend Development
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance reactive REST APIs using Java 17+, Reactive Spring (Web Flux ), and Spring Boot,
Build fully asynchronous workflows using Project Reactor (Mono/Flux).
Develop scalable microservices following cloud-native architecture principles.
Implement secure APIs with OAuth2 Resource Server and role-based access controls.
Event-Driven Systems
Develop event-driven solutions using AWS Lambda, SQS FIFO, and Event Bridge.
Design resilient message-processing workflows with retries, dead-letter queues, and idempotent processing.
Build background processing jobs with concurrency controls and observability.
Database & Data Engineering
Design and optimize Postgre SQL schemas and queries.
Work with Spring Data R2 DBC and j OOQ for reactive and type-safe database interactions.
Implement database versioning and migrations using Flyway.
Utilize Postgre SQL features including JSONB, partitioning, indexing, and hierarchical data structures.
Cloud & Dev Ops
Deploy and manage applications on AWS using:
ECS Fargate
Lambda
SQS
Aurora Postgre SQL
S3
Secrets Manager
Dynamo DB
Cloud Watch
Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Cloud Formation.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Actions , Docker, and AWS deployment services.
Observability & Quality
Implement distributed tracing using Open Telemetry and AWS ADOT.
Create meaningful dashboards and monitoring solutions using Cloud Watch, X-Ray, and Grafana.
Write comprehensive unit and integration tests using:
JUnit 5
Mockito
Reactor Test
Spring Boot Test
Ensure high code quality through Sonar Qube and code review practices.
Required Skills
Core Technologies
Java 17+ with strong understanding of modern Java features.
Spring Boot and Spring Web Flux.
Project Reactor (Mono/Flux, backpressure, error handling, retries).

Postgre SQL database design and performance tuning.

6+ years of backend development experience.
3+ years of experience building cloud-native applications on AWS.
Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts:

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Skills
Open Telemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, Tempo, Loki.
Snowflake or other cloud data warehouse integrations.
