An established general contractor is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead major commercial construction projects in the Chicago area. This is an opportunity to take ownership of challenging work, partner with a strong field team, and help deliver projects that serve the community.We’re especially interested in candidates with K 12 project experience or experience managing projects valued at $100M or more. Both are not required.
What you’ll doLead projects from preconstruction through closeout, managing scope, schedule, budget, and client expectationsDevelop and maintain project schedules, coordinate with the superintendent, and address risks to key milestonesManage project budgets, forecasts, contracts, change orders, and cost reportingBuild strong working relationships with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal project staffReview plans and specifications, resolve design and coordination issues, and support timely decisionsLead project meetings and communicate progress, risks, and solutions clearlyCoordinate closely with field leadership to support safe, high quality work and keep the project on trackGuide the team through turnover, punch list completion, and closeout
What you bring10 or more years of commercial construction experience, including project management responsibility for a general contractorExperience managing ground up commercial construction xzbcwsv projectsExperience with K 12 projects or projects valued at $100M or moreStrong skills in project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and contract administrationThe ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and resolve issues proactivelyClear communication and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and client service
