Role Overview

As a Product Designer at Steelshapers, you will be responsible for designing premium commercial bar systems, hospitality products, and custom sheet metal solutions from concept to production. You will work closely with the engineering and manufacturing teams to develop products that are aesthetically refined, highly functional, and optimized for fabrication.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to work on real-world products that are manufactured in-house using advanced fabrication technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design premium commercial bar counters, bar accessories, hospitality products, and custom sheet metal solutions.
• Develop creative product concepts based on client requirements and market trends.
• Create sketches, 3D CAD models, assemblies, technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
• Design products while considering manufacturability, fabrication techniques, cost optimization, and production efficiency.
• Work closely with production,and fabrication teams throughout product development.
• Prepare presentation-quality renders.
• Participate in prototype development, testing, and product improvements.

Software Skills

3D Design

• Autodesk Fusion 360
• SolidWorks
• Rhino 3D
• Or Equivalent softwares

2D Drawing & Documentation

• AutoCAD
• Adobe Illustrator

Knowledge of rendering software such as Blender or KeyShot will be considered an added advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Strong product visualisation and creative thinking.
• Basic knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, laser cutting, bending, welding, and assembly is a plus.
• Passion for premium product design and attention to detail.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a manufacturing environment.
