You can learn about our benefits here: Job Summary The City of Baltimore’s Bureau of Accounting & Payroll Services (BAPS) is seeking a Principal Program Assessment Analyst specializing in Workday Financial Data Management in Accounting and Payroll to support the City’s technology-driven payroll and financial operations. This position plays a critical role in the continued development and maintenance of Workday’s functional workstreams. Under the direction of Finance leadership, the Principal Program Assessment Analyst will be responsible for solution development, troubleshooting, testing, and assurance of internal controls within the Workday environment. The candidate must have demonstrated expertise in system problem-solving, experience collaborating with stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency through technology solutions, configurations in ERP systems that ensure GAAP and GASB compliance. Essential Functions Workday Configuration & Support- Analyze, develop, and implement solutions for the Grant, Projects and Financial Accounting workstreams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, creating and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Recommend, test, and document system enhancements using best practices to ensure system integrity and performance.
- Ensure thorough testing of system changes, including scenario development and validation.
- Collaborate with Accounting Managers, Grants Management and other functional leads for system changes and enhancements.
- Monitor system updates in production and proactively address any post-implementation issues.
- Attend and actively contribute to regular update meetings with agencies and internal teams.
- Engage with Change Control and Change Management teams to coordinate feedback, testing, and approvals.
- Provide guidance and technical support to end-users, ensuring alignment with operational needs.
- Proven Workday expertise in Accounting and Financial Data Management in ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to create and test system solutions effectively.
- Workday configuration experience across multiple modules.
- Familiarity with accounting processes and system integrations in a government setting.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration to enhance technology adoption and process improvements.
