  • Key Responsibilities


Strategic Resource Mobilisation


  • Develop and execute long-term fundraising strategy, aligned with the organisation's strategic plan and growth ambitions.
  • Create a diversified fundraising portfolio that balances CSR, philanthropy, institutional funding, trusts, foundations, government partnerships, international agencies and individual giving.
  • Identify emerging opportunities that strengthen long-term financial sustainability while reducing dependency on any single source of funding.



Corporate Partnerships


  • Develop strategic partnerships with India's leading corporations that extend beyond financial contributions.
  • Create opportunities for employee volunteering, shared value initiatives, innovation partnerships and long-term engagement.
  • Personally cultivate relationships with CEOs, CSR Heads, Foundation Leaders and senior business executives.



Institutional & Foundation Partnerships


  • Strengthen relationships with national and international foundations, bilateral agencies, multilateral organisations and philanthropic institutions.
  • Lead institutional fundraising strategy by identifying funding opportunities that align organisational priorities with donor interests.
  • Champion high-quality proposal development supported by measurable impact, robust program design and strong evidence.



Government & Strategic Alliances


  • Build trusted relationships with Government departments, regulatory authorities and public institutions to create collaborative funding opportunities and strategic initiatives.
  • Represent as a credible partner capable of delivering scalable disability inclusion programs.



Brand, Communications & Thought Leadership


  • Position as one of India's leading disability organisations.
  • Work closely with Communications, Programs and Leadership to ensure every donor interaction reinforces credibility, transparency and impact.
  • Represent at conferences, CSR forums, leadership events and national platforms that strengthen organisational visibility and influence.



Donor Stewardship & Experience


  • Design a donor engagement strategy that transforms contributors into long-term partners.
  • Develop systems for stewardship, reporting, impact communication and relationship management that build confidence and encourage continued investment.
  • Ensure every donor experience professionalism, responsiveness and measurable value.



Fundraising Excellence & Governance


  • Build robust fundraising systems supported by CRM, forecasting, pipeline management and performance dashboards.
  • Ensure compliance with donor commitments, regulatory requirements and APD governance standards.
  • Use data and insights to continuously improve fundraising effectiveness and organisational decision-making.



Building a High-Performing Team


  • Lead, mentor and inspire a fundraising team recognized for collaboration, accountability and commercial excellence.
  • Develop future fundraising leaders capable of sustaining growth ambitions while fostering a culture of innovation, learning and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience


Essential


• MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Business, Marketing, Communications, Sales, Management or a related discipline.

• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in fundraising, corporate partnerships, strategic business development, institutional sales or key account management.

• Demonstrated success in securing and managing large strategic partnerships.

• Strong financial and commercial acumen.

• Outstanding communication, presentation and negotiation skills.


Preferred


• Experience within the social impact, education, healthcare or development sector.

• Exposure to international development agencies and global philanthropy.

• Knowledge of CSR legislation, ESG priorities and institutional funding mechanisms.
