Electrical & Instrumentation Technician (Travel) - Richmond, VA Skillforce is immediately hiring experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians for a minimum 28-day project in Richmond, VA. As an Electrical Instrumentation Technician you are responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical, instrumentation, and production equipment in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment producing non-ferrous metals. Pay: $45/hour, based on experience. Travel & Per Diem $178 per day per diem ($1,246 per week) paid for all days while traveling. When traveling, your time is compensated at your regular hourly rate If traveling by personal vehicle, mileage will be reimbursed at $0.70 per mile If traveling by air, the flight will be provided, with reimbursement for rental car and fuel Schedule 28-day project 7 days per week 12-hour shifts Must be available to work day or night shifts. Electrical & Instrumentation Technician Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems on industrial production equipment. Troubleshoot and repair equipment used in non-ferrous metal manufacturing. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical controls and PLC systems. Rebuild and replace failed equipment components. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety procedures. Electrical & Instrumentation Technician Qualifications Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong troubleshooting experience with: Allen-Bradley PLCs Electrical controls Three-phase motors Switches, sensors, and related industrial electrical systems Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and either day or night shift.
