IATA / International Air Ticketing Executive

Shane Marine Service Pvt Ltd is looking for an experienced IATA/International Air Ticketing Executive to join our team. Responsibilities Handle international and domestic airline ticketing for destinations worldwide. Book and issue air tickets for crew, employees, and other company personnel as required. Have strong knowledge of international airline routes, schedules, connections, transit points, and minimum connection times. Handle one-way, round-trip, multi-city, open-jaw, and complex international itineraries. Search and compare airfares, flight schedules, routing options, and airline availability to provide the most economical and suitable travel options. Handle fare rules, baggage allowances, change penalties, cancellation charges, no-show charges, and ticket validity. Process ticket reissues, date changes, rerouting, cancellations, refunds, and ticket amendments. Handle urgent and last-minute ticket bookings, including crew joining/sign-off travel requirements. Coordinate with airlines, travel agents, consolidators, and internal departments for ticketing requirements. Arrange suitable travel options considering cost, travel time, transit restrictions, visa requirements, and crew joining schedules. Handle flight disruptions, cancellations, delays, missed connections, and alternative flight arrangements. Maintain proper records of PNR, ticket numbers, booking confirmations, invoices, refunds, and cancellation details. Verify passenger details, passport information, travel dates, baggage requirements, and other ticketing information before issuance. Coordinate with the Crewing Team to arrange flights for joining and sign-off crew as per vessel schedules and port requirements. Monitor flight schedules and provide timely updates regarding changes, delays, cancellations, and rescheduling. Prepare and coordinate ticketing quotations and ensure the most economical available fare is selected. Ensure compliance with airline policies, IATA procedures, fare rules, and applicable travel regulations. Handle frequent flyer / loyalty programme details, seat selection, special meal requests, wheelchair assistance, excess baggage, and other special service requests, wherever required. Maintain good working relationships with airlines and travel agencies to resolve operational and ticketing issues quickly. Handle multiple urgent ticketing requests simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. GDS / Ticketing System Knowledge Candidates should have practical experience with one or more GDS / airline reservation systems, such as: Amadeus Galileo / Travelport Requirements 2–5 years of experience in international air ticketing / IATA / travel operations. Strong practical knowledge of international airline ticketing and reservations. Good knowledge of GDS systems, PNR creation, fare display, fare rules, ticket issuance, reissue, cancellation, and refund procedures. Good knowledge of worldwide airline routes, airport codes, city codes, and major international transit hubs. Ability to identify cost-effective and practical flight options for international travel. Experience in handling urgent, last-minute, and complex international bookings. Knowledge of passport, visa, transit visa, and travel-document requirements will be an advantage. Good communication and coordination skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. Experience in crew travel / marine industry ticketing will be an added advantage. Ability to work flexible hours and respond to urgent travel requirements when necessary. Preferred Candidate We are looking for a candidate who is strong in international air ticketing and can independently handle worldwide bookings. The candidate should be confident in finding the best available routes and fares, handling complex itineraries, making changes/reissues, processing cancellations/refunds, and resolving last-minute travel issues with minimal supervision.
