Job Summary

Terralogic is looking for a skilled Linux & Python Automation Engineer to administer, support, and enhance Linux-based tools, applications, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Linux administration, Python development, scripting, application support, troubleshooting, and automation.

The role involves working closely with Engineering, Quality, PMO, and IT teams to support critical applications, automate operational processes, resolve technical issues, and drive continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Administer, maintain, and support Linux-based tools, applications, and infrastructure. Develop, enhance, and maintain Python scripts and applications to automate operational and engineering processes. Manage tool deployments, upgrades, patches, and configuration changes. Troubleshoot and resolve tool, application, database, and operating system issues. Collaborate with engineering, quality, PMO, and IT teams to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement. Maintain security compliance, access controls, backups, and disaster recovery procedures. Support users by responding to incidents, service requests, and enhancement requests

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience supporting business or engineering applications and tools. Strong Linux administration experience (Red Hat, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, or equivalent). Strong Python development skills for automation, scripting, and application support. Experience troubleshooting Linux servers, applications, services, and network connectivity issues. Experience with shell scripting (Bash or equivalent). Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle preferred). Experience with source code management tools such as Git. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong English and communication skills

Candidate Expectations

Ability to work effectively with Engineering, QA, PMO, and IT teams. Willingness to learn new technologies and take ownership of automation initiatives. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. Candidates should be willing to make a minimum commitment of 18–24 months to the role and team.
