Job OverviewA law firm seeks a Patent Prosecution Patent Agent in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in patent prosecution, particularly with life sciences clients, and will join a dynamic team handling sophisticated matters.
DutiesDraft and prosecute patent applications.Engage in U.S. and foreign patent office practice.Conduct opinion work and due diligence.Provide litigation support and client counseling.Participate in licensing and other life sciences projects.
RequirementsMinimum of two years of patent prosecution experience.Experience with life sciences clients preferred.Admitted to the USPTO.
EducationAdvanced degree in biology, chemistry, or a biotechnical discipline.
CertificationsUSPTO admission.
SkillsStrong academic credentials.Proficiency in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
