Required Technical Skills

Design, implement, and operate security controls across Azure cloud environments to protect applications, data, and infrastructure. Implement and manage identity, network, application, and data security using Azure-native security services. Support secure deployment of cloud workloads by enforcing security best practices, policies, and compliance requirements.

Must Have Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Security. In-depth knowledge of Identity & Access Management: Azure AD (Microsoft Entra ID) RBAC Managed Identities Experience securing Azure networking: NSG Azure Firewall Private Endpoints VNet VPN Familiarity with application and API security: OAuth 2.0 Token-based Authentication Secure REST APIs Experience with: Security Monitoring Logging Incident Response using Azure-native tools.

Good to Have

Experience with: Microsoft Defender for Cloud Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM) Azure Monitor Knowledge of Container and Kubernetes (AKS) Security. Exposure to Dev Sec Ops practices and security integration into CI/CD pipelines. Understanding of: Data Protection Encryption Azure Key Vault Secrets Management Familiarity with compliance frameworks and privacy regulations: GDPR HIPAA

Responsibilities

Implement and manage Azure security configurations to protect cloud workloads and enterprise data. Enforce identity, access, and privilege management best practices across applications and services. Secure network, API, and application layers, ensuring protection against common vulnerabilities and threats. Monitor security events, investigate incidents, and support incident response and remediation activities. Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards, regulatory requirements, and cloud security best practices.
