Your new companyA well-established and growing accountancy practice in Liverpool is looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Senior to join its expanding tax team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team of tax professionals, working with a varied corporate client portfolio while continuing to develop your technical and advisory experience firm offers a strong environment for professional development, with further study support available for the right candidate, including progression towards CTA.Your new roleAs a Corporate Tax Senior, you'll be responsible for managing a varied workload across corporate tax compliance while also gaining exposure to wider advisory and project work responsibilities will include:Preparing corporation tax computations and returns for a range of clients, including UK and overseas groupsAdvising clients on corporation tax paymentsSupporting the wider accounts and audit teams with corporate tax mattersPreparing tax figures for inclusion within statutory accountsAssisting with R&D tax relief claimsLiaising with HMRC and other third partiesSupporting larger tax projects, including capital allowances claimsUndertaking technical research into different areas of tax legislationWhat you'll need to succeedYou'll ideally have 3-4 years' corporate tax experience, with the ability to prepare corporation tax computations for SME clients independently. You'll also have a good understanding of company accounts and be comfortable managing your own workload and deadlines. You'll be someone who is keen to develop technically and enjoys working collaboratively within a wider tax and accountancy team, you'll be part ACA/ACCA qualified or ATT qualified, although experience and suitability for the role will also be important.What you'll get in returnYou'll join a growing tax team where you'll have the opportunity to broaden your corporate tax experience beyond pure compliance and gain exposure to more technical and advisory-led work.
