Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site position for a Family Law Attorney at McKinnon Law Firm, located in Carlsbad, CA. The attorney will handle a range of family law cases, including but not limited to divorce, child custody, support matters, and domestic violence cases. Responsibilities include drafting legal documents such as motions, briefs, discovery, points and authorities, as well as appearing for motions, ex parte hearings, Evidentiary hearings, conducting depositions and discovery motions, and providing in-depth legal analysis on complex family law issues. xzbcwsv The role also involves client consultations, court appearances, and providing strategic legal advice to help navigate sensitive family law cases.
QualificationsStrong knowledge and practical experience in Family Law and general legal principlesProficiency in handling motions and legal filingsExperience conducting and managing discovery and deadlinesAbility to analyze and advise on a variety of legal issuesExceptional written and verbal communication skillsStrong negotiation and client advocacy abilitiesJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and member in good standing of the California State BarPrior experience in family law practice is highly preferred
