Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Executive to join a well-established and growing general contractor in the Chicago market. This individual will provide leadership and oversight across multiple projects while managing client relationships, developing project teams and ensuring successful project delivery from preconstruction through closeout.
Candidates should have a strong general contracting background with experience in at least one of the following markets: healthcare, multifamily, cold storage/food & beverage, aviation or retail.
ResponsibilitiesProvide executive-level oversight of multiple projects or one $50M+ project and project teamsLead projects from preconstruction and planning through construction and closeoutOversee Project Managers, Senior Project Managers and supporting project staffMonitor project financials, schedules, contracts, risk and overall performancePartner with field leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and to a high standard of qualityMaintain strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors and other project partnersParticipate in preconstruction, estimating, procurement and project strategyIdentify potential project challenges early and work with teams to develop solutionsMentor and develop project management staffAssist with client development, relationship management and pursuit of future workEnsure project teams are following company processes and meeting client expectationsQualifications10+ years of commercial construction experience, ideally with a General ContractorPrior experience as a Project Executive, Senior Project Manager or similar leadership roleExperience in at least ONE of the following sectors is required:Healthcare / HospitalMultifamilyCold Storage / Food & BeverageAviationRetailProven experience successfully managing large and/or complex construction projectsStrong knowledge of project financials, contracts, scheduling, procurement and subcontractor managementExperience leading and developing project teamsStrong client-facing and relationship management skillsAbility to oversee multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
