<p><b><u>Job Description </u> </b> </p> <p><b>Role: </b>SOX &amp; Compliance Associate/ Senior Associate </p> <p><b>Industry Type: </b>Chemicals and Petrochemicals </p> <p><b>Employment Type: </b>Full Time, Permanent </p> <p><b>Time Zone : </b>She would be comfortable working during US overlap hours (time hours may extended up to 12 AM IST). </p> <p><b><u>Position Overview </u> </b> </p> <p>We are seeking a talented and experienced professional with strong expertise in SOX Audit and Controls to join our Global SOX Compliance team. The role requires hands-on involvement in control testing, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. </p> <p><b><u>Key Responsibilities </u> </b> </p> <ul> <li>Conduct end-to-end walkthroughs of business processes; identify process gaps, and maintain/update Risk-Control Matrices (RACMs) and process flowcharts. </li> <li>Perform and review Tests of Design (TOD) and Tests of Operating Effectiveness (TOE). </li> <li>Identify, document, and track control deficiencies; collaborate with process owners to develop remediation plans and validate effectiveness of fixes. </li> <li>Prepare and maintain testing workpapers in line with defined standards and quality benchmarks. </li> <li>Provide regular status updates to the Lead SOX &amp; Compliance on control testing progress. </li> <li>Support preparation of quarterly presentations for the Audit Committee. </li> </ul> <p><b><u>Skills &amp; Qualifications </u> </b> </p> <ul> <li>2 3 years of relevant work experience in SOX or Internal Controls. </li> <li>Professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA, CIA, CMA, MBA Finance) or equivalent. </li> <li>Strong knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act, COSO 2013, and PCAOB auditing standards. </li> <li>Solid understanding of processes and controls related to Financial Reporting, Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Commodity Trading, Treasury, Tax, Plant &amp; Equipment, Inventory, HR Payroll, etc. </li> <li>Willingness to overlap 3 4 hours daily with US time zones for cross-border communication. </li> <li>Ability to independently perform SOX control testing. </li> <li>Prior experience in manufacturing concerns or clients is desirable. </li> <li>Effective written, verbal, and listening communication skills with the ability to interact across all organizational levels. </li> <li>Experience in ITGC controls and working with US stakeholders is an added advantage. </li> <li>Demonstrated commitment to personal learning and professional development. </li> </ul> <p><b>** Budget is up to 15 LPA TCTC </b> </p>
