Launched in 2005, it gained a strong readership for its bold, street-smart journalism. After halting its print edition in 2020 due to the pandemic, Mumbai Mirror is being relaunched as a daily print newspaper on June 15, 2025, while also strengthening its digital presence. </p> <p> About the Role: </p> <p> Gather news and provide exclusive and exhaustive coverage of developments in the education sector, including schools, colleges, universities, policy changes, examinations, admissions, and student-related issues, with the objective of ensuring that the publication does not miss important stories and stands out through insightful and impactful reporting. </p> <p> Areas of Responsibility Plan and develop stories to effectively cover education-related developments and generate leads by meeting sources, attending educational events, interacting with institutions, and regularly going into the field to verify information and investigate issues. Write engaging and accurate stories and provide timely information to readers by coordinating with photographers for on-ground coverage, as well as with artists and illustrators for supporting visuals and graphics. Follow up on stories and ensure impact by drawing the attention of readers, educational institutions, policymakers, and relevant authorities to important issues highlighted in the articles. Stay up to date with current trends in the education sector, including policy announcements, examination schedules, admission processes, institutional developments, and ongoing education-related stories. </p><p> Key skills/competencies: High on General Awareness Good Networking Skills Good news sense Ability to identify emerging trends and issues in the education sector </p><p> Experience & Educational Qualifications Required 1-4 years relevant experience in reporting. Graduation degree in any discipline preferably in English with degree or diploma in journalism/mass communication </p> <p></p> <p></p>
