Role Description

The Senior Interior Designer will lead end-to-end interior design projects, from concept development to final execution, in a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. Responsibilities include meeting with clients to understand requirements, developing design concepts and mood boards, and creating detailed space plans and interior layouts. The role involves preparing and reviewing construction drawings, coordinating FF&E selections, and ensuring design quality and consistency across all project phases. The Senior Interior Designer will collaborate with architects, contractors, and vendors, oversee site execution, and resolve design and technical issues as they arise. The position also includes mentoring junior designers, maintaining project timelines and budgets, and presenting design solutions that align with Äiti Interieurs’ aesthetic and human-centric philosophy.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in interior design and space planning, with the ability to create functional, aesthetic, and human-centric layouts.
• Strong understanding of architecture and construction processes, including coordination with project teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in developing and reviewing construction drawings and technical documentation for interiors.
• Experience in FF&E selection, specification, and coordination, ensuring alignment with design vision and project budget.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Advanced skills in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools) and presentation tools.
• Proven experience leading residential or high-end interior projects from concept to completion.
• Excellent communication, client-facing, and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong project management abilities, including time management, budgeting, and attention to detail.
• Portfolio demonstrating creative, timeless interior design work; experience in luxury or bespoke interiors is an advantage.
