Role: Sr Mainframe Systems ProgrammerContract Position & 12+ months Ability to travel to data center located in Somerset, New Jersey for on-site work as neededMust be available to work outside of standard working hours to support and troubleshoot as needed (approximately twice a month)About this opportunityWe are in need of an experienced Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to join our z/OS team of mainframe systems programmers. Position is for a the primary storage subject matter expert, responsible for the administration, security, performance, and availability of our enterprise storage infrastructure — including IBM DS8000 storage systems, TS7700 virtual tape environments, data lifecycle management, encryption, and backup solutions. This position also includes keeping current support of miscellaneous third-party software products and assisting with other systems support activities as needed. Some travel to our data center in Somerset, New Jersey is required, along with occasional availability outside standard working hours (approximately twice a month maxium).Responsibilities:Administer and support IBM z16 storage environments running z/OSManage and maintain DFSMS, DFSMShsm (HSM), and ISMF storage management functionsConfigure and support IBM DS8884, DS8910F, TS7700, TS3000, and TS3500 storage platformsAdminister GKLM (Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager) encryptionManage storage capacity, performance tuning, backup, and recovery processesMaintain HSM migration, backup, recall, and recovery policiesAdminister and support the CA/Broadcom CA 1 Tape Management productPerform troubleshooting of storage hardware, FICON, and SAN infrastructurePerform regularly scheduled semi-monthly system backupsMust be available to work outside of standard working hours to support and troubleshoot as needed (approximately twice a month)Required Skills:At least 7 years of hands-on z/OS experience with expertise in IBM storage managementStrong expertise in: xzbcwsv DFSMSDFSMShsm (HSM)ISMFz/OS Storage ManagementStorage Encryption TechnologiesGKLM/ISKLMCA 1 Tape ManagementHands-on HW experience with:IBM DS8884 and DS8910FIBM TS7760IBM TS3000IBM TS3500Proven experience with storage replication and business continuity solutionsDemonstrated experience administering CA/Broadcom storage management productsStrong knowledge of physical storage hardware, FICON, and SAN environmentsEffective communication, documentation, and independent problem-solving skillsAbility to research independently with a proactive, solutions-oriented mind-set
