I'm partnered with an established Chicago-area Design-Build General Contractor that's looking to add an Assistant Project Manager to its growing team in the western suburbs.
This GC has built a strong reputation throughout the Chicago market, delivering projects primarily across light industrial and manufacturing, while also working on commercial construction, healthcare, corporate interiors, aviation, and other specialty projects.

They're looking for an APM who's eager to take on more responsibility, gain exposure to different project types, and continue developing toward a Project Manager role. They're flexible on exact experience for someone who's the right cultural fit and demonstrates strong potential.
What You'll Be Doing:Support Project Managers on ground-up light industrial and commercial construction projectsAssist with project budgets, schedules, forecasting, and cost trackingManage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentationCoordinate with subcontractors, architects, engineers, and field leadershipAssist with subcontractor buyout, procurement, and contract administrationParticipate in project meetings and communicate progress with project stakeholdersSupport projects from preconstruction through final closeoutTake on increasing project ownership as you develop toward a Project Manager position
What They're Looking For:Previous experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Engineer with a General ContractorLight industrial or ground-up construction experience preferred, but not requiredExperience across commercial, healthcare, corporate interiors, aviation, or manufacturing projects also welcomedStrong understanding of construction processes, project documentation, and schedulingExcellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsSomeone who values teamwork, mentorship, and a positive company cultureMotivated xzbcwsv individual looking for long-term career growth
