Role: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F& O) Technical

Experience: 4–7 Years

Location: Ahmedabad / Remote

Key Responsibilities

1. Application Development

Design, develop, customize, and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F& O) solutions based on business requirements. Develop and customize solutions using X++, C#, Power Apps, and Power Automate. Develop customizations, extensions, workflows, forms, reports, and business logic in accordance with Microsoft best practices. Leverage AI-powered development tools such as Git Hub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot to improve development productivity, code quality, troubleshooting, documentation, and solution development while adhering to organizational security and coding standards. Perform development and deployment activities across Development, Sandbox, and Production environments using Lifecycle Services (LCS).

2. Integration & Solution Design

Develop and maintain integrations between D365 F& O and third-party applications using APIs, OData, Azure Logic Apps, and Microsoft Power Platform. Design scalable, secure, and reliable technical solutions in collaboration with functional consultants and business analysts. Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. Prepare and maintain technical design documents, development specifications, and other relevant technical documentation. Ensure solutions follow Microsoft development standards, best practices, and security guidelines.

3. Performance, Testing & Production Support

Monitor and optimize application performance and troubleshoot technical issues to improve system efficiency. Perform unit testing, code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization. Support QA, UAT, deployment, and release activities. Provide production support, including bug fixes, issue resolution, enhancements, and system maintenance. Investigate root causes of technical issues and implement appropriate corrective and preventive solutions.

4. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

Work closely with Project Managers, Functional Consultants, Business Analysts, QA teams, and other technical teams to deliver solutions within defined timelines. Participate in technical discussions, solution reviews, and project planning activities. Stay updated with the latest developments in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure, and AI-powered development technologies. Identify opportunities to improve existing processes, applications, integrations, and development practices. Follow organizational security policies and ensure compliance with data security, access control, and development standards.

Qualifications

Experience

3–5 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations development. Strong hands-on experience with X++ and D365 F& O development and customization. Experience with C#, Power Apps, Power Automate, APIs, OData, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Dev Ops/Git. Hands-on experience integrating D365 F& O with third-party applications and external systems. Experience with LCS, deployment processes, debugging, testing, and production support. Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Git Hub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or similar tools is preferred.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations architecture, customization, extensions, and development best practices. Good understanding of Dataverse, SQL Server, Power BI, Microsoft Power Platform, and Azure services. Knowledge of integration patterns, REST APIs, OData, and data exchange mechanisms. Good understanding of Azure Dev Ops, Git, source control, and CI/CD practices. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Ability to develop secure, scalable, maintainable, and high-performance technical solutions.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications such as MB-500 or relevant Microsoft certifications are preferred.
