A multi‑entity, project‑driven organization is seeking a Controller to lead day‑to‑day accounting operations for one of its operating companies. This Controller role is ideal for a hands‑on accounting leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys partnering closely with operations and senior leadership.
What You’ll DoThe Controller will manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesPrepare financial statements, reconciliations, and variance analysisOversee multi‑entity and intercompany accountingSupport project‑level financial reviews and margin analysisStrengthen forecasting, billing, collections, and cost controlsProduce overhead budget‑to‑actual reporting and explain variancesSupport audits, tax packages, and external reportingSupervise accounting staff and drive process improvements
What You BringBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership rolesStrong background in project‑based or operationally driven accountingExpertise in WIP, job costing, percentage‑of‑completion, and multi‑entity consolidationsAdvanced Excel and financial xzbcwsv systems proficiencyAbility to collaborate effectively across operations and finance
PreferredPublic accounting experienceJoint venture accounting experienceExperience supporting compliance‑focused or regulated project environmentsCPA or CCIFP credential
LocationCharlotte, NC | Regular in‑office presence with periodic regional travel
