Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram for a Senior Designer – Robotics & Automation.
The Senior Designer will be responsible for designing and developing robotic automation systems, machine tending solutions, material handling systems, conveyors, and Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) for automotive and industrial manufacturing applications.
The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end automation projects from concept design through commissioning and customer handover.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop robotic automation systems, machine tending solutions, and material handling equipment.
Create detailed mechanical design concepts, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
Design and develop conveyors, robotic cells, end-of-arm tooling (EOAT), fixtures, and automated production systems.
Develop SPM (Special Purpose Machine) designs for industrial automation applications.
Review customer requirements and prepare technical solutions based on project specifications.
Collaborate with electrical, controls, PLC, robotics, and project engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
Conduct design reviews, feasibility studies, risk assessments, and optimization activities.
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Qualification
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor's Degree (B. Tech/B. E.) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
Equivalent practical industry experience will also be considered.
Experience
Minimum 6+ years of experience in Robotics, Automation, Material Handling, or Machine Design.
Experience in Automotive OEM, Tier-1 Suppliers, Industrial Automation, or Manufacturing industries preferred.
