The nurse will provide quality nursing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities under the direction of the Director of Nursing.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide nursing services based on each individual's healthcare needs.Administer medications and maintain accurate medication administration records.Monitor individuals' health conditions and communicate changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.Provide medication administration training to staff in accordance with DHS guidelines.Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation.Collaborate with the Director of Nursing, direct support professionals, families, and healthcare providers as appropriate.Promote the health, safety, dignity, and overall well-being of the individuals served.Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures.
QualificationsNursing diploma or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).At least one year of related nursing experience.Current, valid Illinois RN or LPN license.Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills.
