A Little About Us Yahoo’s Global Tax Operations team manages the worldwide direct and indirect tax profile for one of the internet’s most iconic media and technology portfolios. We operate at the intersection of technical tax rigor, financial accounting, and modern automation, delivering robust compliance and strategic insight across global financial reporting. About the Role As Director of Income Tax Operations (IC6), you will serve as the principal technical authority and process owner for Yahoo’s income tax accounting and financial statement disclosures, from consolidated global provisions to complex footnote disclosures. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Tax Operations, you will lead high-visibility tax deliverables across External Reporting, FP CPA or CPA-eligible preferred 12+ years of progressive tax experience, including at least 5 years in public accounting and/or the tax department of a multinational public company Deep, working command of ASC 740 Hands-on proficiency with Oracle Tax Reporting Cloud Service (TRCS) Strong tax technical foundation paired with genuine curiosity about how legislation affects a corporate taxpayer Experience driving process improvements through automation and leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills, with a sharp eye for detail Proven ability to build trust and work cross-functionally in a distributed, remote-first environment A structured approach to work: building project and process trackers, and documenting positions clearly and defensibly Full ownership and accountability in a deadline-driven function Proficiency with Claude, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace The material job duties and responsibilities of this role include those listed above as well as adhering to Yahoo policies; exercising sound judgment; working effectively, safely and inclusively with others; exhibiting trustworthiness and meeting expectations; and safeguarding business operations and brand integrity. The compensation for this position ranges from $129,210.00 - $281,305.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
