We are hiring for a Packing Machine Operator for our plant Nandasan, Mehsana location. This role offers a strong platform to grow your career and drive the expansion of specialty ingredients in India.
Role Objective:
To operate and maintain various types of packing machines, including VFFS (Vertical Form Fill Seal), HFFS (Horizontal Form Fill Seal), single-track and multi-track sachet machines, and jar/bottle filling lines, ensuring smooth operations, high efficiency, and adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate pouch, sachet, and wet packing machines as per standard operating procedures (SOPs). Ensure accurate filling, sealing, coding, and packaging of products. Perform machine setup, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting to maintain smooth operations. Monitor machine performance and report any abnormalities or breakdowns promptly. Conduct in-process quality checks, including pack weight, seal integrity, labeling, and product appearance. Maintain production records, packing logs, downtime reports, and batch documentation. Support preventive maintenance activities and maintain machine cleanliness and hygiene standards. Minimize material wastage and contribute to improving machine efficiency and productivity. Adhere to all safety, hygiene, quality, and food safety standards, including FSSAI requirements. Coordinate with Production, QA, and Maintenance teams to ensure uninterrupted operations and timely issue resolution. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.Ideal Candidate:
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field with 2–4 years of experience in FMCG, Food Industry, Spice Industry & Packaging manufacturing. Hands-on experience operating VFFS, HFFS, pouch packaging, sachet packing, jar filling, or bottle filling machines. Strong knowledge of machine setup, changeovers, troubleshooting, and quality standards.
