The next phase of growth requires transforming data from a reporting asset into a competitive advantage. We are looking for a Business Analytics and Data Science leader who can combine strong business acumen with analytics and AI to improve decision-making, unlock new growth opportunities, automate workflows, and drive measurable business outcomes. This role will work closely with the leadership team to build an AI-first decision intelligence function that powers major business decisions across growth, operations, supply, partnerships, product, and finance. What You'll Own Business & Growth Analytics Own the analytics agenda across the business. Identify opportunities to improve acquisition, conversion, retention, monetization, and operational efficiency. Drive deep analysis of student journeys, booking funnels, cancellations, partner performance, and revenue drivers. Partner with leadership on growth strategy, market expansion, and resource allocation decisions. Build frameworks for measuring business performance across countries, destinations, universities, and partner segments. AI & Decision Intelligence Define and execute Amber's AI roadmap across analytics. Build AI-powered decision-support systems that proactively identify opportunities and risks. Develop AI copilots and self-serve intelligence tools for business teams. Leverage LLMs, agentic workflows, and modern AI tooling to automate analysis and decision-making processes. Partner with business leaders to redesign workflows using AI. Revenue & Commercial Intelligence Drive pricing, commission, profitability, and revenue optimisation initiatives. Analyse marketplace dynamics and identify opportunities to improve commercial performance. Use data and analytics to support revenue growth and better commercial decision-making. Analytics Leadership Build and lead a high-performing Analytics, Data Science, and AI team . Create a culture of hypothesis-driven and AI-enabled decision-making. Mentor analysts, data scientists, and analytics managers. Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Partnerships teams. What We're Looking For Experience 10 years of experience across Business Analytics, Data Science, Growth Analytics, Revenue Analytics, Business Intelligence, Decision Science, or related analytics functions . Prior experience working in an e-commerce or marketplace business is mandatory. Experience leading Analytics, Data Science, BI, or Decision Science teams in a high-growth environment. Strong experience using analytics to drive areas such as acquisition, conversion, retention, pricing, monetisation, revenue growth, customer behaviour, and marketplace decisions . Proven track record of driving measurable business outcomes through analytics and data initiatives. Experience partnering directly with founders, executives, or senior business leaders. Experience building and scaling analytics teams and organisational capabilities. AI & Data Expertise Strong understanding of modern AI ecosystems, including LLMs, AI agents, RAG architectures, and workflow automation . Experience deploying AI-driven solutions into business processes. Familiarity with modern AI and data tooling ecosystems. Experience building predictive models and operationalising Data Science initiatives. Strong understanding of experimentation and model-evaluation frameworks. Technical Skills Advanced SQL. Strong Python or equivalent analytical programming expertise. Strong statistical and analytical foundations. Experience with modern data warehouses and analytics infrastructure. Experience with BI platforms and self-serve analytics ecosystems. Leadership Skills Ability to connect business strategy with data and AI capabilities. Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills. Experience scaling teams and building organisational capabilities. Exceptional structured problem-solving ability.
