The company is looking for an Applied AI Engineer to take AI systems from experimentation through to production. You'll build and improve LLM-powered applications, AI agents and evaluation frameworks, working closely with engineering, product and customer-facing teams. This is a hands-on opportunity to solve challenging AI problems, experiment with new approaches and influence product direction. What you'll work on LLM engineering: Build production applications using frontier models, APIs and model orchestration. AI agents: Develop systems that use tools, gather information and execute multi-step workflows. Evaluation: Build testing frameworks and feedback loops to improve AI quality and reliability. Retrieval: Develop RAG, embeddings and information extraction systems. Optimisation: Experiment with prompts, models and architectures to improve performance, latency and cost. Production systems: Build reliable AI services with robust monitoring and observability. What we're looking for Proven experience shipping LLM-powered applications into production. Strong Python and backend engineering skills. Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering and model orchestration. Knowledge of AI agents, tool calling, RAG or workflow automation. Experience with evaluation, testing and improving AI system performance. A product mindset, strong communication skills and a bias towards action.
