Position Type: Direct Hire / PermanentLocation: On-site | Edison, NJSchedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMCompensation: $80,000 – $100,000 Base Salary + Performance Bonus + BenefitsAbout the RoleWe are seeking an operationally driven, execution-focused Human Resources Manager to take complete ownership of HR operations within a fast-paced, high-volume 3PL warehouse facility in Edison, NJ.This is not a purely administrative or corporate HR position. We need a strong, on-the-floor leader who thrives in a high-pressure setting, maintains exceptional operational discipline, and proactively manages frontline workforce challenges in real time. You will act as the key partner to Operations leadership—driving accountability, controlling absenteeism, enforcing policy, and keeping the facility audit-ready at all times.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Ownership: Lead day-to-day HR function on the warehouse floor, serving as the on-site authority for employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.Workforce Accountability: Consistently enforce company policies, attendance rules, and performance standards across both direct hires and temporary staffing agency workers.Employee Relations & Terminations: Conduct thorough internal investigations, issue written warnings/write-ups, handle difficult conversations, and execute terminations professionally and lawfully.Staffing Agency Management: Partner closely with third-party staffing agencies to ensure labor quality, headcount fulfillment, attendance control, and agency compliance.Regulatory Compliance & Auditing: Oversee strict compliance for I-9 records, onboarding documentation, Workers’ Compensation, child support garnishments, state/federal labor laws, and legal/lawsuit risk mitigation.Floor Presence & Intervention: Spend dedicated time daily on the warehouse floor; intervene in real time when conflict, safety issues, or policy breaches occur.Operations Partnership: Work hand-in-hand with General Managers and Floor Supervisors to reduce absenteeism, curb turnover, and build a reliable, performance-driven culture.Payroll & Benefits Coordination: Support local payroll tracking, timekeeping administration, Workers' Comp claims processing, and benefits onboarding.Required Qualifications & ExperienceIndustry Experience: Minimum 5+ years of HR leadership experience strictly within 3PL, warehouse, logistics, or high-volume distribution environments (required).Language Proficiency (Must meet one of the following criteria):English & Spanish Bilingual (required for non-Chinese speakers): Native or fluent spoken/written capabilities to communicate directly with the hourly frontline workforce.English & Chinese Bilingual (required for Chinese speakers): Fluent in English and Mandarin/Cantonese to support operational leadership and international business stakeholders.Labor & Legal Knowledge: Deep working knowledge of U.S. labor laws, Workers’ Compensation, payroll regulations, wage/hour laws, I-9 compliance, and employment litigation prevention.Conflict & Discipline Skills: Proven track record of handling high-stress, confrontational situations with firmness, fairness, and professional composure.Temp Labor Management: Solid experience managing large temporary/hourly worker pools alongside permanent staff.What Success Looks Like in This RoleYou Take Full Ownership: You anticipate operational needs and resolve workforce friction before it escalates.Firm, Direct, and Fair: You do not manage selectively or passively—you enforce standards consistently across the board.Operations-First Mindset: You understand that HR exists to enable smooth, compliant, and efficient warehouse operations.Resilient Under Pressure: You excel in fast-moving, high-turnover settings without sacrificing documentation quality or legal compliance.What We OfferCompetitive Base Salary ($80K - $100K depending on experience).Performance-Based Bonus tied to workforce stability, retention, and compliance metrics.Comprehensive Health Insurance & Standard Benefits Package.Paid Time Off (PTO) & Paid Holidays. xzbcwsv Career growth potential within a rapidly expanding logistics network.
