Own the design. Influence the decisions. See your work come to life.
If you're an Electrical PE looking for more technical ownership without moving into management, this opportunity puts you at the center of complex industrial power projects — from initial design through construction and startup.
We're partnering with an established engineering and technology company in the Wichita area that's adding an Electrical Power Engineer to its team.
This is a hands-on, individual contributor role where you'll have meaningful ownership of the electrical scope, the opportunity to influence key design decisions, and the chance to see your work operating in real facilities.
WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY OWNYou won't be designing one small piece of a project and handing it off. You'll have visibility and ownership across the electrical power scope.Own primary and low-voltage power distribution design for complex industrial projectsTake electrical systems from concept through equipment specifications, layouts, and final designApply your technical expertise to load-flow, fault, and arc-flash studiesDesign grounding and lighting systems that directly impact operating facilitiesWork with utilities to address service and power requirementsPartner with vendors and procurement to select the right electrical equipmentStay involved through construction and startup instead of watching your designs disappear after handoffVisit operating plants, troubleshoot real-world challenges, and see your designs in action
You'll spend most of your time designing and engineering from the Wichita-area office, with approximately 30% travel offering the opportunity to support projects firsthand and see your work come to life.
YOU MIGHT BE WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR IF…You've earned your Electrical PE — this one is a requirementYou have a BS in Electrical Engineering and 4–5+ years of hands-on power design experiencePower distribution is your wheelhouse, and you understand how the overall system worksYou're comfortable jumping into AutoCAD when the work calls for itYou like seeing what happens after the design leaves your deskIndustrial sites and real-world engineering challenges sound more interesting than spending every day behind a computerYou're looking for a long-term home where you can build technical expertise, own meaningful projects, and continue growing without being pushed into management
Bonus points if your experience comes from industrial, manufacturing, agricultural processing, chemical, food and beverage, energy, or another process-heavy environment.
You don't need to check every nice-to-have box. But if you're a licensed Electrical PE who knows industrial power design and wants more ownership of the work you're doing, we should probably talk.
WHY THIS OPPORTUNITY?Because good Electrical PE opportunities don't always offer this much room to actually engineer. xzbcwsv Here, you'll have the opportunity to:Own meaningful work from concept through construction and startupStay technical and grow your expertise without having to move into managementInfluence decisions by working directly with utilities, vendors, and project teamsGet out into the field and see your engineering work operating in real facilitiesBuild for the long term with an established company that continues to invest, build, and innovate
