A large, well-established industrial manufacturer is looking for a Process Control Site Leader to build up the controls function at one of its pulp and fiber mills in southeast Georgia. This leader will grow people, think strategically about where controls investment pays off, solve difficult problems, and work closely with teams across the mill.
ResponsibilitiesOwn the mill’s control systems and lead the process control teamCoach and develop each team member’s technical and leadership capabilityPartner with operations, maintenance, and engineering to find opportunities and resolve issuesSet the controls roadmap and run several projects and support efforts at onceDeliver controls projects from design and testing through specification, documentation, vendor and contractor management, procurement, installation, and start-upSupport mill-wide optimization, reliability, quality, cost reduction, capital, and safety initiativesDirect team resources to the highest-value prioritiesOwn the plant control networks, including DCS, QCS, xzbcwsv and PLC platformsRequirements5+ years of process control experience on DCS platforms3+ years in a leadership role (manager, supervisor, or team lead)Experience running multiple projects and priorities at the same timePreferredPulp and paper industry backgroundHoneywell DCS experience
