Textile Sector Expert & Team Lead KPMG in India is seeking a seasoned Textile Sector Expert & Team Lead to support and lead strategic advisory engagements within the Government & Public Services (G&PS) practice. The role will involve working closely with government departments, industry stakeholders, and ecosystem partners to drive initiatives aimed at strengthening the textile and apparel sector. Key Qualifications: MBA or Specialized Master's Degree in Textiles from a recognized institution, preferably ranked among the Top 100 institutions under NIRF. Minimum 15 years of professional experience in the textile sector. Experience & Expertise: The ideal candidate should possess demonstrated experience in: Textile, apparel, and garment manufacturing industries. Global and domestic textile market standards and best practices. Planning, development, and operationalization of industrial parks, with specific exposure to textile parks. Emerging technologies, innovation, and sectoral advancements in the textile ecosystem. Export promotion and export-oriented sector projects, with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Working with Central and State Government departments/agencies for a minimum of 3 years. Managing complex stakeholder relationships across government bodies, industry associations, private sector entities, and other ecosystem participants. Key Competencies: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Strategic thinking with the ability to deliver advisory and implementation support on large-scale sector development projects. Strong understanding of government programs, policy frameworks, and industry development initiatives.
