Guardian is seeking a Sales Analyst, Premier Markets to serve as a dedicated field resource supporting Sales Representatives and Client Management teams within our Group Benefits business. In this role, you will be responsible for managing RFPs, coordinating quote delivery, facilitating new business submissions, and partnering with internal stakeholders to help drive profitable growth. You will leverage strong analytical, organizational, and relationship-building skills to support sales success while delivering an exceptional customer experience. You Are

You Will

  • Manage RFP inventory, quote requests, and new business/add issue submissions in support of Premier Market sales activity.

  • Review RFP documentation, identify missing requirements, and coordinate information gathering to support underwriting and proposal development.

  • Partner with Rating, Quoting, Underwriting, Client Management, and Sales teams to ensure competitive proposals are delivered accurately and on time.

  • Analyze RFP opportunities and recommend plan design, benefit, and pricing alternatives based on customer needs and market conditions.

  • Collaborate with internal business partners including Dental, BenTech, Enrollment, Worksite, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive proposal strategies.

  • Participate in underwriting discussions and negotiations related to rates, plan designs, exceptions, and approvals.

  • Communicate directly with brokers, producers, and their support teams regarding proposal details, product offerings, and quote competitiveness.

  • Conduct follow-up activities to gather feedback, assess market competitiveness, and obtain post-mortem information on opportunities.

  • Facilitate the transition of sold business from Sales to Onboarding, ensuring compliance with established procedures and service standards.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Guardian systems, processes, and procedures.

  • Provide backup support and operational assistance to teammates as needed.

You Have

Required Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of Group Benefits, Group Insurance, employee benefits, or related insurance industry experience.

  • Experience supporting RFP processes, proposal management, quoting, underwriting, or new business submissions.

  • Knowledge of Group Benefits products and services.

  • Understanding of underwriting principles and practices.

  • Experience servicing brokers, producers, clients, or other external customers.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and CRM systems.

  • Ability to effectively collaborate across multiple functional areas.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Salesforce experience.

  • Experience supporting field sales organizations.

  • Knowledge of Group Benefits quoting, rating, and onboarding processes.

  • Experience working with brokerage or producer distribution channels.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Reporting Relationships

As our Sales Analyst, Premier Markets , you will support the Group Benefits Sales organization and partner closely with Sales Representatives, Client Management, Underwriting, Rating, Onboarding, and Operations teams.

Location

The preferred Guardian hub location for this position is Chicago, IL . This role follows a hybrid work arrangement , with the expectation of working in the office one day per week .

Salary Range:

$54,190.00 - $81,280.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
