Job Description

1. Design intuitive, easy-to-use user experiences and interfaces across a range of projects and applications, from concept through final execution
2. Partner with product managers to translate business requirements and user needs into practical, scalable product designs
3. Communicate design rationale and collaborate closely with engineers to ensure designs are technically feasible and adhere to established standards
4. Develop and maintain wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and detailed design specifications
5. Design visual assets — logos, icons, and other UI elements — for both in-product use and marketing purposes
6. Stay current with industry trends, emerging tools, and competitor products; communicate design concepts and prototypes clearly to developers and stakeholders
7. Conduct comparative UX audits of existing applications (internal and competitor) and design improved alternatives based on findings
8. Champion and help evolve the organization's design system, ensuring consistency across products
9. Mentor junior/mid-level designers and contribute to design process improvements
10. Conduct or coordinate usability testing and synthesize user research into actionable design decisions

Skills & Requirements

Core Experience

1. 8+ years of professional UI/UX design experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design process
2. Deep proficiency in Figma (or equivalent tools like Sketch/Adobe XD), including auto-layout, components, variants, and prototyping
3. Proven experience designing for software products (SaaS, web apps, or enterprise platforms)
4. Hands-on experience building, contributing to, or scaling a design system (component libraries, tokens, style guides)
5. Strong understanding of interaction design, information architecture, and visual design fundamentals (typography, color, spacing, accessibility/WCAG standards)

Tool Sets & Technical Familiarity

1. Design & prototyping: Figma (Dev Mode, variables, plugins), FigJam, Framer, Principle, or ProtoPie for high-fidelity interactive prototypes
2. Design systems tooling: Storybook, Zeroheight, or similar for documenting and syncing design-to-code
3. Handoff & collaboration: Zeplin, Figma Dev Mode, Jira, Confluence, Linear
4. User research: Maze, UserTesting, Hotjar, FullStory, or similar for usability testing and behavioral analytics
5. Basic front-end literacy: working knowledge of HTML/CSS and enough JS/React vocabulary to have productive conversations with engineer about feasibility and constraints

AI-Driven Design & Development Familiarity

(increasingly essential at senior level)

1. Practical experience using AI tools within the design workflow — e.g., Figma AI, Adobe Firefly, Midjourney/DALL·E for concept exploration and asset generation
2. Familiarity with AI-assisted prototyping/code-gen tools (e.g., v0, Claude, Cursor, Lovable, Galileo AI) to rapidly translate designs into functional prototypes or accelerate handoff
3. Understanding of how generative AI is reshaping design workflows — using it for ideation, variant generation, copywriting, and user research synthesis — while knowing where human judgment must stay central (accessibility, ethical UX, brand nuance)
4. Experience designing AI-powered product features themselves (e.g., conversational UI, recommendation surfaces, human-in-the-loop patterns) is a strong plus
5. Comfort prompting and evaluating AI outputs critically, rather than treating them as a black box
