Audiovisual Lead Technician

Come join a 50-year-old audio visual integration firm that is the global go-to provider for the most prestigious museums in the world, with projects out of this office located primarily in the greater Washington, D.C., Texas, and New York City areas. We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Lead AV Technician to support the fabrication and installation of highly customized, immersive museum experiences. This role is responsible for leading a team of technicians, coordinating workflow both in the shop and on job sites, maintaining communication with the Project Management Team, and completing assigned documentation and tasks, and of course mentoring junior technicians. Qualifications: Hands-on fabrication and/or installation of complex audiovisual systems, including Extron, Crestron, Biamp, Cisco and various other popular audiovisual and lighting technologies Willingness to work daily in Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia, and travel as needed for remote sites Installation of racks, routers, projectors, video displays, interactive kiosks, lighting and speakers Clear and effective communication with project teams and clients Reading and interpreting construction drawings Coordinating multiple team members in a fast-paced environment Troubleshooting complex AV, IT, LV electrical, and mechanical exhibit systems Applying working knowledge of basic IT
