Big Brains Learning is a student-focused learning and career platform helping university students Learn, Build and Launch through practical courses, internships, projects, notes and career opportunities.Company: Big Brains LearningPosition: Microsoft Azure MentorEmployment Type: Contract BasedWork Mode: RemoteDepartment: Cloud ComputingContract Duration: Project or Contract BasedRole OverviewBig Brains Learning is looking for an experienced Microsoft Azure professional and mentor who can create and deliver practical Azure course content for university students, developers and aspiring cloud engineers.The selected candidate will teach students how to build, deploy, manage, secure and monitor applications and infrastructure using Microsoft Azure.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and structure Microsoft Azure course content according to an agreed curriculum.Deliver practical and easy-to-understand Azure lessons.Explain cloud computing and Azure architecture fundamentals.Teach Azure resource management, subscriptions, resource groups and identity management.Teach Azure Virtual Machines, Storage, Azure SQL, Virtual Networks and App Services.Demonstrate application deployment using Azure services.Teach networking, security, monitoring and access management.Introduce Azure Functions and serverless computing.Explain containers and cloud-native application deployment.Teach Azure DevOps and CI/CD concepts where applicable.Guide students through practical Azure projects and assignments.Review student work and provide constructive feedback.Answer student questions related to Azure and assigned projects.Coordinate with the Big Brains team regarding curriculum, student progress and content delivery.Course ContentThe course may cover Azure fundamentals, subscriptions, resource groups, Azure Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Azure SQL, Virtual Networks, App Services, Azure Functions, identity and access management, monitoring, security, containers, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, deployment and practical Azure projects.The exact curriculum, course duration, number of sessions, projects and assignments will be mutually agreed upon before the contract begins.DeliverablesThe mentor will deliver the agreed course sessions and learning materials.The mentor may also provide practical labs, deployment exercises, Azure architecture examples, assignments, project guidance and student reviews depending on the agreed course scope.Contract and PaymentThis is a contract based position.Compensation will be mutually agreed upon according to the course scope, duration and responsibilities.Payment may be based on sessions, milestones, complete course delivery or another mutually agreed arrangement.RequirementsStrong practical experience with Microsoft Azure.Experience deploying and managing applications on Azure.Good understanding of Azure services and cloud architecture.Knowledge of Azure networking, security and identity management.Experience with Azure Virtual Machines, Storage, Azure SQL and App Services will be an advantage.Ability to explain cloud concepts clearly.Strong communication and mentoring skills.Ability to guide students through practical cloud projects.Previous teaching or mentoring experience will be considered an advantage.Student MentoringThe mentor should help students develop practical Azure skills through hands-on labs, deployment exercises and real-world projects.Quality ReviewCourse content may be reviewed by the Big Brains team to ensure technical accuracy and educational quality.ConfidentialityThe mentor agrees to maintain confidentiality regarding non-public information received from Big Brains.TerminationEither party may terminate the contract according to the termination conditions specified in the final agreement.BenefitsOpportunity to mentor university students.Opportunity to build a professional cloud teaching portfolio.Potential for future course creation and mentoring contracts.Opportunity to collaborate with Big Brains on technology education projects.Big Brains LearningLearn, Build and Launch

Requirements

• Strong practical experience with Microsoft Azure.
