As we continue to grow, we are building the Pacific Northwest’s most comprehensive and high-value oncology network—projected to double in volume over the next five years. FTE: 0.8, Shift: Day, Schedule: 8 hour shifts, weekends as needed, local travel required Position Summary The Pharmacy Technician Specialist Haz Compound assists in performing manipulative and non-discretionary functions associated with the practice of pharmacy. The technician works with other health professionals to provide comprehensive care to oncology and non-oncology infusion patients. Responsibilities may include coordination of equipment and supplies. The technician will have additional knowledge and skill in the ability to follow mixing formulations and the use of specialized compounding equipment, mixing techniques, and hazardous chemicals. Knowledgeable in the rules and regulations specific to the practice of sterile extemporaneous compounding is required. Requirements
- Successful completion of WA Board of Pharmacy approved Pharmacy Technician Training Program
- Current Washington State Board of Pharmacy Technician License
- Experience in IV sterile compounding, both hazardous and non-hazardous
- Hospital experience preferred
