1:1 Paraprofessional - Special Education

Parapro Day Position

Assist teachers, counselors and administrators in providing educational services to students with special needs. Work will involve assisting students with remedial, enrichment and/or independent living activities as well as supporting instructional and educational goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 years of college coursework OR an Associate's Degree or higher OR high school diploma with the passage of the ParaPro Assessment prior to employment
• One year of related successful work experience
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience in operating basic office equipment, such as copiers
• Ability to lift equipment, supplies and/or children weighing at least forty (40) pounds
• Physical ability to perform all of the essential functions of the job

An active Educational Aide Permit (1-Year or 4-Year) or a teaching license issued by the Ohio Department of Education is preferred.

Salary: $17.47/hour (non-degreed); $19.74/hour (2-year degree); $21.50 (Teaching Certificate)
