Overview Registered Respiratory Therapist — travel assignment in Rochester, NY. Start date: 08/31/2026 for a 13-week temporary assignment in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,099 to $2,238. Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts with every-other weekend coverage. Rotation between acute care and long-term acute care (LTAC) units, focusing on adult critical care and emergency department care. This role involves ventilator management, ABG sampling, pulmonary hygiene, and comprehensive patient assessment. Licensing and certification requirements must be in hand prior to submission, including NY state licensure, BLS, and RRT credential, plus EPIC charting experience. Orientation is provided (36 hours). Travel support and pre-approved time off are arranged as part of the assignment. Key Highlights

- Deliver respiratory care to adult patients in acute and LTAC settings, including ventilator management and monitoring
- Perform ABG collection and analysis, interpret results, and integrate findings into patient care
- Maintain pulmonary hygiene, airway clearance strategies, suctioning, and airway management support (including tracheostomy care as appropriate)
- Administer therapies such as NIV, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and related modalities; assist with extubation and weaning as directed
- Monitor patient response, adjust care plans with the multidisciplinary team, and document care in the EPIC charting system
- Support safe patient mobility and participate in rapid-response and escalation when respiratory status changes
- Active NY Respiratory Therapist license in hand to submit
- BLS certification and RRT credential required
- Minimum 1 year RT experience; ED and adult critical care experience required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Ability to float between acute care and LTAC/ED units and work 3x12-hour night shifts
- COVID-19 vaccination not required
