Role Description The Medical Coding Trainer will deliver high-quality remote training sessions on medical coding and related healthcare information management topics for learners enrolled in GrowAI Edtech programs. This part-time role includes developing and updating training materials, lesson plans, and practical exercises aligned with current coding standards and industry best practices. The trainer will explain complex medical terminology and coding guidelines in clear, accessible language, provide feedback on learner assignments, and support learners through Q&A sessions and virtual office hours. Daily activities involve preparing instructional content, conducting live or recorded classes, evaluating learner performance, and collaborating with the curriculum team to improve course content. The role is fully remote and requires consistent communication and timely documentation of learner progress.
Qualifications

• Coding Experience and Medical Coding skills, with the ability to teach coding standards, guidelines, and best practices.
• Health Information Management knowledge, including familiarity with healthcare data, records, and compliance requirements.
• RHIT credential or equivalent professional certification demonstrating expertise in health information and coding.
• Strong understanding of Medical Terminology and its application in clinical documentation and coding.
• Experience in training, teaching, or mentoring in a healthcare or educational setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly in a remote environment.
• Comfort with online teaching platforms, learning management systems, and digital collaboration tools.
• Relevant associate or bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
