Role Description
We are looking for an experienced, organised and detail-oriented Accountant to join our in-house team in Delhi .
The candidate will be responsible for managing the complete day-to-day accounting and finance operations for both AUCO and AIWA Innovation , including billing, inventory accounting, customer and vendor ledgers, payment tracking, GST compliance, reconciliations, documentation and monthly closing.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong ownership of the complete accounts cycle.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance operations.
- Strong practical knowledge of GST and Indian accounting procedures .
- Experience with Tally / Tally Prime is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel .
- Experience with invoicing, e-invoicing, e-way bills and GST returns.
- Good understanding of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B and ITC reconciliation .
- Experience in customer/vendor ledger management and reconciliation.
- Experience in inventory accounting will be preferred.
- Good understanding of receivables, payables and payment tracking.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to independently manage multiple accounting activities and deadlines.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
Billing and Invoicing
- Prepare and process sales invoices, purchase invoices, credit notes, debit notes and other accounting documents.
- Generate invoices against confirmed orders and dispatches.
- Ensure accurate product, quantity, pricing, GST and customer details on every invoice.
- Scan and maintain copies of all invoices and supporting documents.
- Share invoices, e-invoices, delivery documents and other required bills with clients/dealers on time.
- Maintain proper digital and physical filing of all billing documents.
- Coordinate with the sales, warehouse and dispatch teams for billing requirements.
Customer Accounts and Payment Management
- Maintain and regularly update customer/dealer/distributor ledgers .
- Record all customer invoices, receipts, credit notes and adjustments.
- Track client payments and outstanding balances on a regular basis.
- Maintain an updated receivables / outstanding report .
- Follow up with clients/dealers for pending payments wherever required.
- Update payment status immediately upon receipt.
- Share payment confirmations and updated account statements with clients.
- Send ledger statements, outstanding statements, invoices and other required documents to clients.
- Track PDCs and ensure timely deposit and accounting of cheques.
- Coordinate with the sales team regarding outstanding payments and credit limits.
Vendor Accounts & Payables
- Maintain supplier/vendor ledgers.
- Record purchase invoices, payments, debit notes, credit notes and adjustments.
- Verify vendor bills and supporting documents.
- Track outstanding vendor payments and prepare payment schedules.
- Reconcile vendor statements with company records.
- Ensure timely and accurate accounting of all purchases and expenses.
Inventory & Stock Management
- Record all inward and outward stock movements.
- Maintain accurate product-wise inventory records.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and dispatch teams for stock entries.
- Reconcile physical stock with system stock.
- Track stock transfers, returns, replacements, damages and adjustments.
- Ensure every sale and purchase is correctly reflected in inventory and accounts.
- Prepare regular inventory reports and identify discrepancies.
GST and Tax Compliance
- Handle day-to-day accounting entries related to GST .
- Prepare and maintain GST-related records and documentation.
- Ensure correct GST classification and tax rates on invoices.
- Handle e-invoicing and e-way bill requirements wherever applicable.
- Reconcile sales and purchase data with GST records.
- Prepare data for GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and other applicable GST returns .
- Assist with GSTR-2B reconciliation and input tax credit verification.
- Ensure eligible Input Tax Credit (ITC) is properly accounted for.
- Reconcile GST ledgers and identify discrepancies.
- Coordinate with the CA/tax consultant for GST filings, assessments and notices.
- Maintain all GST records required for compliance and audits.
- Ensure timely completion of GST-related activities and statutory deadlines.
Bank & Account Reconciliation
- Record all bank transactions accurately.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations .
- Reconcile customer and vendor ledgers.
- Identify and resolve differences between books, bank statements and supporting documents.
- Maintain accurate records of receipts, payments, transfers and expenses.
Expenses & General Accounting
- Record day-to-day business expenses.
- Verify expense bills and supporting documents.
- Maintain proper records of company expenses and reimbursements.
- Pass journal entries, adjustment entries and other necessary accounting entries.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts for both AUCO and AIWA Innovation.
Monthly Closing
- Take complete responsibility for month-end accounting closure .
- Ensure all sales, purchases, expenses, receipts and payments are recorded before closing.
- Reconcile bank accounts, customer ledgers, vendor ledgers and inventory.
- Review outstanding receivables and payables.
- Verify GST and tax-related entries.
- Prepare monthly sales, purchase, expense, inventory, receivables and payables reports.
- Identify discrepancies and ensure necessary corrections before final closing.
- Provide accurate monthly financial information to management and the CA.
Documentation & Audit Support
- Maintain organised records of invoices, purchase bills, GST documents, payment records, bank statements, ledgers and other financial documents.
- Ensure all accounting documentation is properly filed and easily accessible.
- Provide required documents and reports for audits, GST reviews and financial assessments.
- Coordinate with the company’s CA and external accounting/tax consultants whenever required.

We are looking for someone who can take complete ownership of the accounts function rather than only handling data entry or billing.
The right candidate should be able to independently manage the complete cycle:
Order → Billing → Invoice Sharing → Dispatch → Ledger Update → Payment Tracking → Receivables → GST → Reconciliation → Monthly Closing → Reporting
The candidate should be proactive in identifying pending payments, missing documents, accounting discrepancies and compliance requirements rather than waiting for instructions.
