About the Role

At Mohsyn, we're building something that goes beyond conventional healthcare and home-care services.

Every day, we interact with families, particularly elderly individuals, whose medical, physical, emotional, and social needs are often interconnected. Through these interactions, we have an opportunity not only to deliver better care but also to develop a deeper understanding of ageing, health, and wellbeing in Pakistan.

We want to turn that opportunity into something meaningful.

We're looking for a Head of Medical Research & Clinical Quality to lead Mohsyn's medical research strategy, oversee clinical quality across our healthcare services, and build partnerships with leading national and international medical and research institutions.

This role will be instrumental in spearheading one of Mohsyn's most ambitious initiatives: our vision to become the first private company in South Asia to undertake a comprehensive, large-scale geriatric research study , generating meaningful insights into the health, wellbeing, and evolving care needs of elderly populations.

You’ll lead the development of the research framework, build the necessary clinical and research capabilities, establish institutional collaborations, and translate research findings into evidence-based improvements in care delivery.

Alongside this, you’ll oversee Mohsyn’s clinical quality function, manage and develop the medical team, standardise care protocols, and ensure that our medical services consistently meet high standards of safety, professionalism, and clinical excellence.

We’re looking for someone who combines strong medical knowledge, research acumen, strategic thinking, institutional credibility, and the ability to build and lead teams .

Someone who doesn’t simply want to manage an existing medical function, but wants to help build something that could meaningfully advance our understanding of elderly care in Pakistan and beyond.

  • Ensure research activities meet applicable ethical, regulatory, patient-consent, confidentiality, and data-protection requirements.
  • Translate research findings into actionable insights that improve Mohsyn's clinical services and contribute to broader knowledge of elderly healthcare.

Academic, Medical & Research Partnerships

  • Identify, establish, and manage strategic collaborations with leading medical schools, universities, teaching hospitals, research centres, and healthcare institutions in Pakistan and internationally.
  • Pursue research partnerships with institutions such as Harvard Medical School, Johns Hopkins University, Mount Sinai , and other globally recognised medical and academic organisations.
  • Develop partnership proposals, research collaboration frameworks, joint-study opportunities, and institutional engagement strategies.
  • Represent Mohsyn in discussions with academic researchers, medical professionals, institutional leadership, and research organisations.

  • Work with Operations and other relevant teams to ensure medical recommendations translate into appropriate care interventions.
  • Drive continuous improvement through evidence-based clinical practices, research findings, and structured quality reviews.

  • Establish clear responsibilities, performance expectations, quality standards, and accountability mechanisms for medical personnel.
  • Oversee the clinical performance and professional standards of field doctors and relevant medical professionals.
  • Develop training programmes, clinical guidance, and continuous professional development initiatives.
  • Build a culture of clinical excellence, research curiosity, accountability, and evidence-based decision-making .
  • Identify capability gaps and support the recruitment and development of medical and research talent.
  • Work closely with cross-functional leadership to align medical priorities with Mohsyn's broader organisational strategy.

  • Oversee the development of a structured, centralised medical knowledge and research infrastructure.
  • Establish standards for collecting, organising, validating, and analysing medical and health-related information.
  • Develop longitudinal medical records and research datasets that support the study of ageing, chronic conditions, functional health, and care outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Product and Technology teams to strengthen Mohsyn's healthcare data systems and digital research capabilities.

What We’re Looking For

Must Have

  • MBBS from a recognised medical institution , with relevant professional registration where applicable.
  • Significant post-qualification experience in healthcare, clinical leadership, medical research, public health, or related medical functions.
  • Demonstrated experience leading medical teams, clinical programmes, research initiatives, or healthcare functions .
  • Strong understanding of clinical research methodologies, study design, medical data interpretation, and evidence-based healthcare.

  • Strong stakeholder-management and relationship-building skills, particularly with senior medical professionals and institutional representatives.

  • Experience developing clinical research databases, registries, or longitudinal patient datasets.
  • Exposure to elderly healthcare, geriatrics, home healthcare, preventive medicine, or chronic disease management.
  • Experience building medical or research functions in a growing healthcare organisation.

Education & Professional Qualifications

Mandatory: MBBS from a recognised medical institution.

Strongly Preferred: Additional qualifications in Public Health, Epidemiology, Clinical Research, Geriatric Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related discipline.

Relevant postgraduate degrees, research fellowships, publications, and institutional research experience will be considered significant advantages.

For this position, however, qualifications alone will not be enough.

We’re looking for someone who has demonstrated the ability to lead people, build medical capabilities, establish institutional credibility, and turn research ambitions into measurable outcomes .

The Kind of Person Who’ll Thrive Here

Visionary. Research-minded. Clinically credible. Strategic. Curious. Collaborative. Execution-focused.

You’re someone who looks at a medical record and sees more than an individual consultation.

You see a potential data point in a much larger picture.

You ask questions about patterns, outcomes, risks, and what those findings might tell us about the broader health needs of an ageing population.

You’re comfortable engaging with doctors, researchers, university faculty, and institutional leadership — and equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves to build the processes and systems required to turn ideas into reality.

You don’t believe research should exist only in academic journals.

You believe it should improve how healthcare is delivered and how people experience ageing .

And while you’re ambitious about the scientific possibilities, you’re equally serious about research ethics, methodological rigour, clinical quality, and the responsibility that comes with working with vulnerable populations.

Most importantly, you’re excited by the opportunity to build something that doesn’t already exist.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 12-18 months, we’d expect you to:

  • Establish a clear medical research strategy and implementation roadmap for Mohsyn.
  • Develop the research design and foundational protocols for Mohsyn's proposed geriatric study.
  • Establish the necessary research governance, ethical review pathways, data standards, and quality controls.
  • Build and strengthen Mohsyn's medical research and clinical quality team.
  • Introduce standardised clinical protocols, quality assurance mechanisms, and medical performance reviews.
  • Initiate meaningful engagement with leading national and international academic and research institutions.
  • Progress suitable research collaborations towards formal institutional agreements.
  • Develop the infrastructure required for systematic medical data collection and longitudinal analysis.
  • Establish clear medical quality indicators and continuous improvement processes.
  • Position Mohsyn to begin ethically approved, scientifically rigorous geriatric research, subject to the necessary partnerships, approvals, and operational readiness.

Why Join Us

At Mohsyn, we hire the best — and then trust them to do what they do best. No micromanagement, no unnecessary layers. Just ownership, autonomy, and the freedom to make an impact.

And this is an opportunity to build something far bigger than a conventional medical department.

Pakistan, like many countries, faces evolving challenges around ageing, chronic disease, preventive healthcare, and the long-term wellbeing of elderly populations.

Yet there remains an enormous opportunity to deepen our understanding of how people age, what influences their health outcomes, and what kinds of interventions can genuinely improve their quality of life.

At Mohsyn, we’re uniquely positioned to contribute to that understanding through our direct involvement in the everyday care of families across Pakistan.

We don't want to simply deliver care. We want to learn from it, improve it, and help advance the science behind it.

You’ll have the opportunity to shape our research agenda, build clinical and scientific capabilities, develop relationships with leading medical institutions, and help lay the foundation for an ambitious geriatric research programme.

You’ll work closely with leadership, have meaningful influence over medical strategy, and help create a function that connects clinical care, scientific research, technology, and real-world impact .

And behind all of that ambition is something deeply human.

Every research finding, every improvement in clinical quality, and every new understanding of ageing has the potential to improve the life of someone's parent, grandparent, or loved one.

That's the kind of work we’re building towards.

We’re looking for someone who wants more than a senior management designation.

We're looking for someone who wants to build a lasting medical and research legacy.

We believe exceptional people do exceptional work when they feel trusted, supported, heard, and excited about where they work. That's the kind of team we’re building at Mohsyn: collaborative, curious, low on ego, big on ownership, and high on impact.
