About the roleOur customers trust us with their homes, and we want every one of them taken care of the right way, from the day their order ships to the day it’s installed. Over the years we’ve built our own CRM to run the business. Every open job, repair, and remake lives in it. Now we need someone to own it: run it day to day, keep it accurate, and make it better.The job is half screen and half floor. You’ll spend part of your day in the system and part of it on your feet, checking in deliveries, organizing, and tracking down whatever’s missing. If both halves sound good to you, we want to talk.
Our storyIn 1993, Dalton Taylor started building plantation shutters one window at a time in Monroe, NC, with his wife Patti and his brother Jeff. Thirty-plus years later, that family shop has become A Shade Above: three Charlotte-area showrooms, two coastal showrooms in North Myrtle Beach and Ocean Isle Beach, and our own factory in Monroe, where we still build our shutters. We’re a small team building the company’s next era, and this role is a big part of that.
What you’ll doOwn our CRM day to day and keep every open job, repair, and remake currentSpot what’s slowing us down and work directly with leadership to improve the systemCheck in FedEx deliveries, confirm every box for an order has arrived, and flag anything missingAssist new repairs and enter repair requestsKeep receiving and the back room organized so nothing gets lostGet jobs ready for scheduling and help schedule installs as neededEnter and track remakes, repairs, and parts ordersFollow up on open issues every few days until they’re resolvedKeep customers informed by phone, text, and email so they always know where things standCoordinate between sales reps, installers, and customers to solve problems
