ICC Special Inspector (Concrete and Masonry)

NOVA Engineering is seeking an ICC Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete & Masonry) for our Charleston, SC office.

Responsibilities:Structural inspections for rebar, masonry, post-tensioning, and foundationsPerforming field materials testing of soil, concrete, and asphaltPreparing detailed and complete field reports with all relevant test results and inspections/observations providedPerforming laboratory tests on soil and concrete and preparing reports of resultsEvaluating site and subgrade conditions on construction projects and providing recommendationsCommunicating with clients, contractors, and engineering and technician staff regarding construction issue

Qualifications:ICC Reinforced Concrete and /or Structural Masonry is required (at least one)ICC Structural Steel & Bolting and ICC Structural Welding a plusICC MSI preferredAbility to learn to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manua
