Behind every successful campaign are people keeping ideas organized, materials prepared, and projects moving forward. We’re looking for a Marketing Assistant in Chicago, IL to support marketing initiatives, coordinate promotional activities, and help the team deliver campaigns effectively.
You’ll work alongside the wider marketing team to prepare materials, research audiences, coordinate schedules, and keep track of campaign requirements. This role offers the opportunity to develop practical experience across marketing, communications, branding, and project coordination.
What You’ll Be Doing
Assist with planning and coordinating marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
Prepare presentations, marketing materials, and campaign documentation.
Help organize campaign schedules, deadlines, and project requirements.
Research target audiences, customer preferences, competitors, and market trends.
Support brand awareness initiatives and promotional events.
Coordinate with internal teams to keep marketing projects on track.
Help maintain consistent messaging across marketing materials.
Update spreadsheets, campaign records, and project information.
Assist with gathering customer feedback and reviewing campaign activity.
Follow up on outstanding tasks and help ensure deadlines are met.
Organize marketing meetings, campaign briefings, and promotional resources.
Contribute ideas to improve campaign organization and audience engagement.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is organized, creative, proactive, and confident communicating with different people. You should enjoy working collaboratively, managing several tasks, and learning how marketing campaigns are developed and delivered.
You’ll bring:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
An interest in marketing, branding, promotions, or communications.
Confidence using email, spreadsheets, and standard office software.
The ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
A willingness to learn new systems and processes.
A professional approach to teamwork and problem-solving.
Previous experience in marketing, sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, events, or administration can provide useful transferable skills. Direct marketing experience is beneficial, but training on internal systems and campaign procedures can be provided. xzbcwsv
