About the Role

K.R. Mangalam University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor / Associate Professor - Architectural Conservation / heritage or Landscape Architecture to teach and mentor students in the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) program.

The role aims to strengthen the school’s focus on computational design, digital fabrication, and emerging technologies in the built environment.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Mentorship

• Deliver engaging courses in Architectural Conservation or Landscape Architecture , computational design tools (e.g., AutoCAD).
• Mentor M.Arch students in studio projects integrating algorithmic and sustainable design principles.
• Guide research and project work related to digital fabrication and performance-driven design.

Academic & Curriculum Development

• Contribute to curriculum design incorporating advanced design computation and emerging architectural technologies.
• Integrate interdisciplinary approaches combining architecture, planning, engineering, and digital technologies.
• Develop assignments, studio briefs, and workshops that reflect contemporary professional practices.

Industry Linkages & Research

• Experience / interest in consultancy and live projects .
• Initiate or support research projects, publications, and exhibitions in parametric or generative design.
• Participate in training programs, seminars, and design competitions representing the university.

Qualifications and Requirements

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) – Mandatory.
• Master’s degree in Architecture (M.Arch) – Essential.
• PHD. (awarded or pursuing) in Architecture a related domain – Preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in architectural practice, focusing on computational or digital design methods.
• Prior academic or training experience will be an advantage.
